SUPPORT FOR YOUR INTERNAL IT TEAM

Co-managed IT support for internal IT teams

Extra skills and capacity for the IT team in a growing business. CIS helps organisations with 50 to 200 staff manage everyday workload, specialist problems and improvement projects, with clear ownership of the work your team retains.

Discuss co-managed IT support

Give your team more capacity

Your IT team knows the business. It may still need help with specialist work, a growing support queue or projects that keep slipping behind daily requests.

We take on the parts of that workload you need covered, with clear arrangements for decisions, handover and escalation.

Where we can help

The proposal sets out the services included, support hours, access arrangements and costs. Additional or out-of-hours coverage should be agreed explicitly.

Evidence from the UV&S Technology partnership

US-based MSP UV&S Technology selected CIS to co-manage IT for its UK operations. We worked with its existing systems and team, providing local expertise and infrastructure support.

Make responsibility clear before the work starts

We start with your team’s workload and the gaps you want to fill. Together, we map responsibility for applications, devices, cloud services, security and recovery.

Access, documentation, ticket handover and change approval are agreed before work begins. Regular reviews keep the work focused on your priorities and show what has improved.

Understand the service and cost

Costs reflect the systems, responsibilities and support coverage you need. We separate ongoing support from project work so the proposal is easy to assess.

Our co-managed IT service supports teams across Oxford and Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, and Birmingham. Agree remote support, site visits and escalation around the locations where your staff work.

Use an initial discussion to map your team’s workload, any specialist skills gaps and the projects that need to move forward. If you need a wider technical review first, explore our IT support consultancy.

Questions about co-managed IT support

What is the difference between managed and co-managed IT support?

Managed IT support gives CIS agreed day-to-day responsibilities for your business IT. Co-managed support divides the work with your internal team, adding specialist skills or delivery capacity where you need them.

Will our IT team keep control of its systems?

Your team retains the responsibilities agreed in the service scope. We define administration access, change approval, documentation and escalation around that division of work, so ownership remains clear.

Can CIS help with Microsoft 365 and security projects?

Yes. We can help with Microsoft 365 and cloud projects, cyber security and backup and recovery. Each project has defined responsibilities and a clear handover to your team.

How is co-managed IT support priced?

Costs depend on the responsibilities CIS takes on, the systems involved and the coverage required. Bring your team structure, current agreements and project backlog so we can separate ongoing support from project work and prepare an appropriate proposal.

Where does your IT team need more capacity?

Tell us where work is building up or specialist help would make a difference. We will build the support around those gaps.
