MICROSOFT 365 COPILOT
Microsoft 365 Copilot consultancy
Work out where Copilot can help your team and what needs to change before you roll it out. CIS helps businesses assess readiness, review data access and introduce Microsoft 365 Copilot with staff training and a clear plan.
Choose the right Copilot use cases
Start with the work your people already do in Microsoft 365. Preparing a first draft, finding information or following up a meeting may be useful starting points. Choose tasks where someone can check the result and tell whether it has helped.
We help you select an initial group of users, agree the tasks to test and record the current time and effort involved. That gives you a basis for deciding whether to extend the rollout.

Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness assessment
- People and tasks: identify the roles and recurring work that could benefit.
- Licensing and applications: check your current subscriptions, the Copilot capabilities you need and any prerequisites.
- Business information: review where relevant files live and who can access them.
- Security and guidance: agree approved uses, information boundaries and when staff must check an output.
- Rollout plan: set out the pilot, work required, responsibilities and review points.
Your assessment should leave you with a clear decision about what to address before deployment, which users to start with and how to judge the result.
Review data access before deployment
Copilot uses the information a person is already permitted to access. That makes existing SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive permissions an important part of preparation. Broad sharing or outdated group membership needs attention before information becomes easier to find.
We help you review access, identify the changes required and assign owners for the work. We also agree how staff should handle sensitive information and check generated content. Read Microsoft’s explanation of Copilot data access and privacy.
Pilot, training and staff adoption
Give a small group of users support with real tasks before extending access. We help plan the pilot and training around their roles, with examples they can use in everyday work.
Review the time spent, the quality of the result and any extra checking or rework. Usage reports can help show adoption, but logging in does not by itself prove a business benefit. Decide what to change, keep or stop before moving to the next group.
We can work alongside your internal IT team through co-managed IT support, or connect the rollout with our wider Microsoft 365 support.
Understand Copilot consultancy costs
Costs depend on the users involved, the readiness work required, the pilot and the training you need. Existing permissions, file organisation and application arrangements can affect the work.
Your proposal separates consultancy and implementation from software subscriptions and ongoing support. We check the current licensing options for your environment before recommending a commitment.

Questions about Copilot consultancy
Do we need to prepare our data before using Copilot?
Review where business information is stored, who can access it and whether it is current. Copilot respects existing access permissions, so a readiness review should identify inappropriate sharing and the work needed to address it.
Which Copilot licences do we need?
The right option depends on your existing Microsoft 365 subscriptions, users and the features you want. We check eligibility and current licensing requirements as part of planning. Software costs are identified separately in your proposal.
Can you help if we already have an IT provider?
Yes. We can define a consultancy project alongside your existing team or provider. We agree who will make changes, who approves access and who supports users before the project starts.
How will we know whether Copilot is worth continuing?
Choose specific tasks and compare the time, quality and checking required before and during the pilot. Review user feedback and adoption alongside the full licensing and support cost, then decide whether to extend or change the approach.
