How is the score calculated?
Each “Yes” scores two points, “Partly” scores one, and “No” or “Not sure” scores zero. The total out of 24 is shown as a percentage. Category scores use the two questions in each category. Missing or unknown account protection, device maintenance, alert monitoring, incident rehearsal, restore testing or recovery planning is highlighted even when the overall score is high.
How are the priorities chosen?
The check puts missing or unknown arrangements ahead of partial ones. It then prioritises restore testing, account protection, device maintenance, alert monitoring, incident response and recovery planning, followed by access reviews, staff awareness, critical dependencies, service ownership, leadership oversight and planning. If all your answers indicate evidence is in place, the suggestions focus on keeping those arrangements current.
Can this confirm that our business is secure?
No. The result reflects your answers rather than a technical inspection. Use it to structure a discussion with your provider or internal team and check the supporting evidence.
